    ABOUT US

    CRAFTMANSHIP

Parabiago, on the outskirts of Milan, is the town where the designer of Di Minno decided to base her prototype and production headquarters, known worldwide as the “Italian Shoe Capital”, Parabiago is the epicenter of know-how, mastery, tradition, and quality. Just a few steps away from Manolo and Louboutin factories, Di Minno creations are brought to light by expert artisans who are connoisseurs of women’s footwear and all of its secrets.

Materials play also an important role in this elegant but complicated equation: from antiallergic lambskin to nickel-less metal accessories, everything is researched and made in Italy to meet the highest standards of durability, health and comfort.

    DESIGN

“Daring” is the term that best describes a pair of Di Minno shoes. The structure of these stunning creations is simultaneously engineering challenge and a work of art, both conspiring to support a woman’s foot comfortably and fashionable. Every heel can be, according to the seasonal inspiration, carved, perforated, twisted, curved or faceted until the artistic result recalls a chandelier, an elaborate Saracen column, an Aztec bas-relief or an intricate Japanese pagoda. Yet, when all these very special details are paired, by the magic hands of the designer, with the purest silk taffeta, striped raffia or decadent velvet devore, these shoes become wearable pieces of art.

Diverse accessories are the most evident decorative elements of Di Minno shoes: crystal bows, handmade suede flowers, Swarovski stones, glowing pearls or laser cut exotic skins enrich every step and make every woman feel special and unique.

    THE DESIGNER

In the 1960s, Leonardo Di Minno, the father of the actual designer Franca, used to create beautiful custom shoes for the Milanese aristocracy and influential artists and politicians. Franca was then a little girl, watching her elegant and creative father day after day, slowly absorbing not only all of the hidden secrets behind a “perfectly executed” pair of shoes but also developing the sensibility and refined personal touch that became the volcano of creativity behind the rejuvenated Di Minno brand.

It’s hard to describe the vibrant temper and the incredible cultural background of this very special lady, who, following an artistic career in the USA and Europe, decided to go back to her creative roots to found her own footwear brand. Since then, Franca has been creating beautiful dreams for equally beautiful women who appreciate her feminine yet uncompromising approach to wearability and style.
